Tulsa Hockey is an independent publication covering the game in Tulsa, Oklahoma — from the Tulsa Oilers at the BOK Center to the rinks where local kids lace up their first pair of skates.
Hockey has a longer history in Tulsa than most people expect. The game has drawn crowds here since the late 1920s, and professional teams have carried the Oilers name through the old American Hockey Association, the original Central Hockey League and today’s ECHL. The 2026-27 season marks the 75th campaign played under the Oilers banner. We think a story that long deserves a place where it is explained, remembered and argued about properly.
