Accuracy and sourcing
- We rely on primary and verifiable sources: official team and league releases, published statistics, venue information and established news organizations.
- Statistics and dates are checked against at least one reliable source before publication.
- We link to our sources where it helps readers check the information for themselves.
- We clearly separate reporting from opinion. Analysis and opinion pieces are labeled as such.
Original work
Our articles are written for Tulsa Hockey. We do not republish press releases or other outlets’ work as our own. When we quote someone, we keep quotes short and credit the source.
How our content is produced
Our team may use digital tools, including research and writing software, to help gather information and prepare drafts. Every article is reviewed and fact-checked by the Tulsa Hockey Editorial team before it is published, and our editors are responsible for everything that appears on the site.
Updates and corrections
When we make a significant mistake, we correct it promptly and note the correction at the end of the article. Evergreen guides — such as our Game Day articles — are reviewed regularly and updated when information changes. To report an error, please use our contact page and include the link to the article.
